Virus concerns force Michigan State to postpone weekend hoops contest

The Michigan State-Indiana basketball game slated for Jan. 17 is being postponed due to COVID-19 concerns within the Spartans’ program.

Michigan State and Indiana will work with the B1G to identify the best date to reschedule the game. This is Indiana’s first postponed game of the season. Previously, Michigan State had a game against Virginia cancelled and its last game against Iowa was postponed.
Indiana has won four of the last six matchups in the series.
Michigan State is 8-4, with its most recent contest being a 55-54 loss against Purdue. Indiana has an 8-5 record and is coming off an 84-76 victory vs. Nebraska.
Michigan State’s next scheduled game is against Illinois on Jan. 23. Next on the docket for Indiana is a contest against Iowa on Jan. 21.
