Ohio State senior linebacker Justin Hilliard has officially accepted an invitation to the Senior Bowl.

That was announced on Friday evening:

Hilliard just wrapped up his injury-riddled Ohio State career on a high note. He was one of the Buckeyes’ best defenders down the stretch, compiling 25 tackles and two forced fumbles in their final three games.

Originally part of the 2015 recruiting class, this was Hilliard’s sixth season at Ohio State. Due to an NCAA rule in response to the pandemic, Hilliard would have been eligible to return for a seventh year in Columbus. However, it appears he’s hoping to get a chance in the NFL.

Hilliard was a 5-star prospect out of high school according to 247Sports, so he has the pedigree to make it in the league if he proves he can stay healthy.

He’s one of five OSU players to accept a Senior Bowl invite so far, joining Baron Browning, Tuf Borland, Trey Sermon, and Jonathan Cooper.
