Aussie Aussie Aussie! Purdue earns commitment from Australian punter

Purdue picked up a commitment from Australian punter Jack Ansell on Friday afternoon.
Here’s the announcement:

Ansell joins Purdue via ProKick Australia, a program that’s designed to get Australian kickers and punters into college football and the NFL.
According to their website, they’ve produced five Ray Guy Award winners and 17 All-Americans. Per their Twitter bio, their players have combined to earn 150 scholarships since the program’s inception in 2007.
Brooks Cormier and Zac Collins both saw time as Purdue’s punter last season, but neither cleared 40 yards per punt on average.
As a team, Purdue finished No. 13 in the Big Ten with 36.67 yards per punt. Only Minnesota (36.19 yards) was worse.
Ansell joins Purdue’s 2021 recruiting class, which is currently ranked No. 70 nationally and No. 13 in the Big Ten according to 247Sports Composite rankings.
