Seeing a basket collapse or backboard shatter is an incredibly rare sight at the high school level. Yet in Alabama, one of the scariest moments of the basketball season comes via a collapsing hoop.

Ramsay and Carver were battling in a high school basketball game this week, but the contest didn’t reach the final buzzer because of a collapsed hoop. After Ramsay’s KeShawn Murphy dunked the ball, the basket game tumbling down in a pretty terrifying fashion.

Fortunately, everyone was able to get out of the way and there didn’t appear to be any injuries as a result of the structure crashing. SportsCenter shared the video:

Ramsay owned a 61-44 advantage when the game was postponed. There were just 4 minutes remaining in the game. The two teams are planning to finish the game next Thursday.

Hopefully, there won’t be any crashing baskets in the final 4 minutes of the game.
