Every year, Indiana head coach Tom Allen and every Hoosier on the football team comes up with their “One Word” for the upcoming season. On Sunday, Allen revealed what his will be this year.

Allen’s “One Word” for 2020? Chase.

The Indiana head coach — who helped lead the Hoosiers to a 6-2 campaign in 2020 and had them in the hunt for a B1G title — revealed his word in a post on social media. He also provided the description of why it’s his word for the year.

Allen just completed his fourth season as the head coach in Bloomington. After leading IU to an 8-5 campaign and Gator Bowl berth in 2019, Indiana had one of its best seasons in program history, ending the regular season with a 6-1 mark.

Indiana then fell in the Outback Bowl to Ole Miss.

The Hoosiers defeated a highly-ranked Penn State team in Week 1 and ended long losing streaks to Michigan and Wisconsin this year, as well.

In four seasons as the head coach, Allen has compiled a 24-22 record and led the Hoosiers to back-to-back bowl appearances.
