4-star basketball prospect CJ Gunn will be announcing his college commitment at halftime of the Super Bowl.
He revealed that decision on Friday afternoon:
I will be announcing my commitment during halftime of the Super Bowl…Tune in‼️
— CJ Gunn (@CJ_Gunn22) February 5, 2021
Gunn is the No. 107 overall player and the No. 14 shooting guard in the country, according to 247Sports Composite rankings.
He attends Lawrence North High School in Indianapolis. While the Hoosiers could be viewed as a favorite, Gunn has offers from several other high profile schools including Missouri, Xavier, Cincinnati and Kansas State.
Gunn is listed at 6-foot-5, 175 pounds.
If Gunn does pick the Hoosiers, he would become their first commitment for the 2022 recruiting class. Indiana only signed one player (4-star center Logan Duncomb) in the 2021 class, so the next cycle should be a larger group.
Indiana is currently eighth in the Big Ten with a 9-8 overall record and a 4-6 record in the Big Ten play. The Hoosiers are led by Trayce Jackson-Davis, who scores over 20 points per game.
According to BracketMatrix.com, the Hoosiers are currently on the NCAA Tournament bubble and would be a No. 12 seed if Selection Sunday was this weekend.
