The week in B1G basketball closed out with a bang.
Indiana’s Armaan Franklin buried a game-winning bucket with less than 2 seconds left in the game to lift the Hoosiers to a 67-65 victory over No. 8 Iowa. That victory means IU sweeps the Hawkeyes for the 2020-21 season and likely eliminates Iowa from B1G regular season title contention.
With the Super Bowl on Sunday, that was the only B1G game of the day. But this past week was one that saw plenty of big plays and great moments that could have an impact on the conference race.
Michigan still sits atop the B1G with only one loss, though the Wolverines are on a pause due to COVID-19 related concerns. Nebraska is at the bottom of the field, still searching for its first conference victory of the year. Here’s a look at the complete B1G standings:
- No. 1: Michigan (8-1)
- No. 2: Illinois (9-3)
- No. 3: Ohio State (9-4)
- No. 4: Wisconsin (8-5)
- No. 4: Purdue (8-5)
- No. 6: Iowa (7-5)
- No. 7: Rutgers (7-6)
- No. 8: Indiana (5-6)
- No. 9: Minnesota (4-7)
- No. 9: Penn State (4-7)
- No. 11: Maryland (4-8)
- No. 12: Michigan State (3-7)
- No. 13: Northwestern (3-9)
- No. 14: Nebraska (0-6)
