Tom Brady has strong 1st half as Bucs take halftime lead on Chiefs

Tom Brady played the 1st half of Super Bowl LV like a man on a mission. The 6-time championship-winning quarterback desperately wants that seventh ring.

Brady completed 16-of-20 pass attempts for 140 yards and 3 touchdowns and was sacked just once in the first 30 minutes of Sunday’s game. That huge performance helped Tampa Bay build a 21-6 advantage over Kansas City in the 1st half.

Two of those touchdown passes were to tight end Rob Gronkowski and another was to Antonio Brown with just 6 seconds remaining in the half. That put the Bucs just 30 minutes away from a Super Bowl victory.

Sunday’s Super Bowl LV appearance was the 10th of Brady’s career but his first with the Buccaneers. Here are some of the 1st half highlights from Brady and the Bucs:
