Shortly after FootballScoop.com reported that Indiana was looking to hire Kansas City Chiefs running backs coach Deland McCullough, the Hoosiers made the addition official. McCullough will be making his return to Bloomington after spending the last three seasons in the NFL.
McCullough does have a connection with the program, serving as the Hoosiers’ running backs coach from 2011-16 under then-head coach Kevin Wilson. McCullough and Allen worked on the same IU staff in 2016, when Allen was the program’s defensive coordinator.
