Pro Football Focus believes there’s a lot of talent returning to the B1G on the offensive line during the 2021 season. The website’s recent publication of the Top 10 returning linemen in college football shows a lot of love to three returners in the league.
The network included three returners to the B1G in its Top 10, with the conference taking the first two spots. First, here’s a look at the three names Pro Football Focus included on its list:
No. 1: Tyler Linderbaum, C, Iowa
No. 2: Thayer Munford, T, Ohio State
No. 7: Peter Skoronski, T, Northwestern
Linderbaum was a finalist for the Rimington Trophy in 2020 was a second-team All-America selection by the Associated Press. He’s started all 21 games for the Hawkeyes at center over the last two seasons and should be one of the best players at his position in all of college football in 2021.
Munford also has a ton of experience, having started 33 games over the past three seasons and appearing in 49 total contests. He’ll be the anchor for the Ohio State offensive line and will be an early first-team All-America candidate.
Skoronski is the lone freshman on this list, carving out a starting role in his first season at Northwestern. He played in all 9 games for the Wildcats last season and should be even better with a full year of B1G experience under his belt.
Here is the complete Top 10 from PFF.
