ESPN ranked all 130 FBS teams by SP+. Here’s where all 14 B1G teams fall

Curious as to where every B1G team ranks in the grand scheme of the college football world? One ESPN metric has provided a list of where all 130 teams at the FBS level fall, based on SP+.
That gives us an idea of where each B1G team stands heading into the 2021 season.
What all factors into this ranking? According to ESPN, three primary areas were considered when ranking all 130 teams: returning production, recent recruiting and recent history.
As you might expect, Ohio State is near the top, coming in at No. 4. It’s the highest-ranked B1G team on the list. Four other B1G teams cracked the Top 25 — Wisconsin, Penn State, Iowa and Michigan.
Here’s where all 14 B1G teams rank, per ESPN:
- No. 4: Ohio State
- No. 9: Wisconsin
- No. 14: Penn State
- No. 16: Iowa
- No. 23: Michigan
- No. 27: Indiana
- No. 30: Nebraska
- No. 31: Minnesota
- No. 32: Maryland
- No. 40: Purdue
- No. 59: Michigan State
- No. 75: Northwestern
- No. 83: Illinois
- No. 94: Rutgers
