A rough year has gotten even tougher for Tom Izzo and Michigan State.

On Monday, it was reported that 4-star center Enoch Boakye has decided to decommit from the Spartans. He is full reopening his recruitment, but there are a few schools right now that the 6-foot-10, 240-pound center is considering more than others.

Boakye committed early to Michigan State as a member of the 2022 class, giving his pledge back in July of 2020. So far, 10 schools have offered the star center: Arizona, BYU, Denver, Houston, Oklahoma State, Texas A&M, Texas Tech, UCLA, Western Kentucky and Michigan State.

With Boakye’s recruitment back open, he could reel in more offers.

From 247Sports national recruiting analyst Josh Gershon:

Talented enter with an extremely high upside. Impressive frame with wide shoulders and long arms to go with pretty good hands for a young post. Has legitimate body control and ball skills for the position; can grab rebound and start break. Plus athlete and force around the basket due to sheer size and motor. Could improve his post moves and touch. Has upside as rim protector. Floor is college starter but has easy NBA upside.

Per 247Sports, Boakye ranks as the No. 4 center in the class and the No. 32 prospect overall for the cycle. He is also listed as the top prospect from Ontario, Canada.
