Benjamin St-Juste received a lot of attention at the Reese’s Senior Bowl last month. The former Minnesota defensive back shined in coverage and seemed to help his draft stock quite a bit.
Senior Bowl executive director and draft analyst Jim Nagy essentially confirmed that on Wednesday. In a tweet sent out, Nagy said that St-Juste is a player that’s getting a lot of “buzz” among NFL scouts with a little over two months left until the draft in April.
St-Juste had an outstanding season at Minnesota in 2019, totaling 45 tackles, 10 pass break-ups and 1.5 tackles for loss in 13 games. However, his production was overshadowed by star safety Antoine Winfield Jr. This year, St-Juste added 14 stops and 3 pass break-ups to his career totals.
Every team in league is looking for taller outside CB help and one longer-bodied corner getting buzz among NFL scouts right now is @GopherFootball Benjamin St. Juste (@Benj_Juice). Hard to throw over and hit downfield explosives on CB that are 6033v with 80 1/4 wingspan. 🔒🇨🇦 pic.twitter.com/juBmahog4R

Prior to the Senior Bowl, St-Juste had received grades around the 5th or 6th round, but it’s easy to see him climbing into potentially a 4th round spot (or higher) based on his Senior Bowl performance and team needs in the NFL.
Before transferring to Minnesota, St-Juste played at Michigan. He totaled just 3 tackles during his time with the Wolverines.
