The B1G found a unique way to honor the late Sam Foltz and Mike Sadler.

The former B1G punters who died in a car crash this offseason, will be on a commemorative coin used across the conference on Saturday.

Foltz, who would’ve been a senior at Nebraska, will be on one side. Sadler, who graduated from Michigan State in 2014, will be on the other. Officials from both schools were responsible for the idea to create the coins honoring the late student-athletes.

Here’s a look at the special coin:

The B1G will have its first full slate of conference games this weekend. All seven B1G games will use the commemorative coin prior to kickoff.

After this weekend, it will be up to each B1G team to decide if they wish to continue using the coin. Traditionally, B1G teams flip a coin with Iowa legend Nile Kinnick.
