Michigan is leaving Columbus with a win.

In what was one of the most entertaining games of the B1G season, the No. 3 Wolverines were able to escape Columbus with a win of the No. 4 Buckeyes, thanks in large part to the effort from freshman star Hunter Dickinson. He ended the game with 22 points and grabbed 9 rebounds as Michigan registered a 92-87 win.

Sunday’s victory for the Wolverines marks a 3-0 start since returning to the hardwood after a three-week pause due to COVID-19. It also snapped Ohio State’s seven-game winning streak.

Five Wolverines ended the game in double figures in a well-balanced attack from U-M. Behind Dickinson, Michigan got 17 from Eli Brooks, 15 from Chaundee Brown while also getting 12 points from Isaiah Livers and 11 from Mike Smith. Franz Wagner ended the game with 9.

Ohio State got big games from Duane Washington and E.J. Liddell, both scoring over 20 points in the game. Washington led the team with 30 points while Liddell scored 23 and collected 10 rebounds. C.J. Walker got 15 points off the bench.

Michigan improves to 16-1 and 11-1 in B1G play, still sitting atop the standings. Ohio State falls to 18-5 and 12-5 in conference games.
