The Big Ten’s regular season is winding to a close.
One week from today (March 10), the Big Ten’s conference tournament will be underway in Indianapolis. The Championship Game — and Selection Sunday — will take place on March 14.
According to KenPom.com’s rankings, the Big Ten is one of the best and deepest conferences in the nation. KenPom ranks four Big Ten teams in the top seven and six in the top 15. There’s also 10 Big Ten teams ranked in the top 40.
Here’s where every Big Ten program ranks with one week to go before the conference tournament:
- No. 2 Michigan
- No. 5 Illinois
- No. 6 Iowa
- No. 7 Ohio State
- No. 12 Wisconsin
- No. 13 Purdue
- No. 26 Maryland
- No. 32 Rutgers
- No. 39 Indiana
- No. 40 Penn State
- No. 55 Minnesota
- No. 60 Michigan State
- No. 72 Northwestern

Rutgers, Indiana, Penn State, Minnesota and Michigan State are all on the bubble at this point in the season. Michigan State has the most work to do, but the Spartans could make up a lot of ground vs. Michigan on Thursday night.
Michigan, Illinois, Ohio State and Iowa are all in contention for a No. 1 seed on Selection Sunday. Illinois — fresh off a victory over Michigan on Tuesday night — will travel to face Ohio State on Saturday.
