Michigan is just one half away from clinching an outright regular season B1G title.

The Wolverines own a 39-28 advantage at home against rival Michigan State through the first half. With a win over the Spartans, Michigan will clinch an outright B1G regular season crown and secure the No. 1 seed in the conference tournament.

Eli Brooks led the way for Michigan with 9 points through the first 20 minutes. Hunter Dickinson and Franz Wagner each had 8, Brandon Johns Jr. scored 6 and Mike Smith and Isaiah Livers each chipped in 4 points.

Dickinson was the team’s leading rebounder with 4 boards.

Michigan State is getting a strong performance from Aaron Henry, who’s scored 10 points on 4-of-6 shooting, but hasn’t gotten much else from anyone on the floor. The Spartans are also getting outrebounded 16-9.

Thursday night’s game is the first of a home-and-home series to end the regular season. The two teams will meet again Sunday.
