Race Thompson might be on the floor for Indiana after all.
Earlier this week, head coach Archie Miller said that Thompson was day-to-day after suffering a facial injury in Indiana’s loss to Michigan State on Tuesday. The starting forward was expected to be a game-time decision before the regular season finale against Purdue.
Some positive news has leaked out of West Lafayette, as Kevin Brockway of CNHI reported that Thompson was spotted warming up before the game. That’s the good news. The bad news? It appears the Hoosiers will be without Armaan Franklin again.

Miller also stated during his radio show that Franklin would be a game-time decision, but that Indiana was expecting to be without him vs. Purdue. Brockway is reporting that Franklin is not warming up and is on the bench, still dealing with a foot injury.
Thompson is averaging 9.6 points and 6.4 rebounds per game for the Hoosiers this season. Franklin is Indiana’s second-leading scorer this year, behind Trayce Jackson-Davis. He is averaging 11.6 points per contest, as well as 4.2 rebounds and 2.2 assists while shooting 45% from 3-point range.
Purdue and Indiana are scheduled to tip things off at 2 p.m. on ESPN.
