Archie Miller seeking ‘clarity’ on controversial technical called on IU bench late in loss to Purdue

Archie Miller and Indiana continued their miserable stretch against in-state rival Purdue Saturday, and one call from late in the second half particularly stuck with Miller.
The Hoosiers were working from behind for much of the game with Purdue carrying a nine-point lead into the break. In the second half, Indiana had whittled that lead all the way down to five points at 47-42 with 6:31 remaining in the game.
Unfortunately, the Boilermakers scored four quick points to push the lead back to nine. That is when the Indiana bench was called for a technical foul that left Miller beside himself on the court.
Purdue would make both free throws to stretch the lead to 11 points, eliminating any momentum the Hoosiers might have had late in the game. Purdue finished off the game, winning by a final score of 67-58.
After the loss, Miller said he is still searching for clarity regarding the technical as no warnings were issued.
Zach Osterman with the Indy Star shared Miller’s post-game comments:
More on this: "Going to need some clarity on what was said, specifically. … It was a big play late in the game. It took away some of the vibe of the game. I can't really explain the call. Didn't see it coming." #iubb

With the loss, Miller drops to 0-7 against Purdue since taking over the Hoosiers. Indiana is also finishing the regular season on a five-game losing streak since holding a 12-9 record following the win over Minnesota on Feb. 17.
