Brad Underwood shares two goals for Illinois during B1G Tournament

Make no mistake about it: Illinois is hoping to make a statement in Indianapolis.
After missing out on a regular-season B1G title despite a 16-4 record and finishing the 20-game conference schedule, the Illini would love nothing more than to roll into the NCAA Tournament with a B1G Tournament title. Star guard Ayo Dosunmu even said he’s packing as if he will be in Indianapolis for a while, hinting at a deep run in March Madness.
It goes without saying that head coach Brad Underwood is also hoping for a successful run through the B1G Tournament. But beyond a championship, Underwood shared two specific goals he is hoping the Illini achieve in Indy.
The first goal for Underwood is getting through the B1G Tournament without COVID-19 playing a role. Hopefully, that rings true for every team in Indianapolis.
The other goal for Underwood is locking up a No. 1 seed for the NCAA Tournament. If Illinois has not already locked that in, a couple of wins in Indy should prove to be enough.
