Report: Former Ohio State lineman agrees to record-breaking NFL contract

Former Ohio State offensive lineman Corey Linsley is now the highest-paid center in the NFL, per a report.
According to Mike Garafolo, Linsely has agreed to a five-year, $62.5 million deal with the Los Angeles Chargers.
The deal includes two guaranteed years that amounts to $26 million.

Linsley has been in the NFL since 2014. He spent the first seven years of his career with the Green Bay Packers. They drafted him in the fifth round of the 2014 NFL Draft.
He is coming off the best season of his career, reaching All-Pro status in 2020.
Linsley has already done very well for himself, especially considering he was a fifth round pick. According to Spotrac.com, Linsley’s career earnings — not including this deal with the Chargers — are approaching $30 million.
He’s started 99 games in his career for the Green Bay Packers. He’s started at least 13 games in all but one season (nine games in 2016).
Linsley will now transition to being the lead of an offensive line that’s in charge of protecting Justin Herbert. Herbert was arguably the most impressive rookie quarterback in the NFL last season.
