Penn State makes decision on attendance for Blue-White spring game

Penn State has made its decision on fan attendance for the annual Blue-White spring game, which is scheduled for next month.
Athletic director Sandy Barbour announced on Wednesday that the general public will not be allowed to attend the April 17 event, which marks the end of spring practice for the Nittany Lions. However, PSU will permit first-year students to attend the game at Beaver Stadium.
In addition to those students allowed to attend, families and guests of players, coaches and staff will be allowed to attend the game. There will be no tailgating permitted before the spring game.
“We are hopeful for the fall and continue to focus on the health and safety of our community and on providing the best opportunity for a full capacity stadium for the Sept. 11 game against Ball State,” Barbour said in a statement.

Penn State began spring practice this month. The Nittany Lions are coming off a 4-5 campaign in 2020 and will open next season with a road trip to Wisconsin’s Camp Randall Stadium.
