Ohio State is in the mix for yet another high-profile prospect in the 2022 recruiting class.

Highly-ranked 4-star offensive guard Earnest Greene III released the Top 10 schools he’s still considering. Ohio State was the only team from the B1G to be included on the list.

Greene’s Top 10 included Oklahoma, Texas, Oregon, Texas A&M, LSU, Florida, Georgia, Alabama, USC and Ohio State. That list is trimmed down from 24 schools that offered the Top 2 guard during the recruiting cycle.

B1G teams that were eliminated from consideration were Michigan, Nebraska and Penn State.

According to 247Sports, Greene is a 6-foot-4, 330-pound offensive guard out of Bellflower, Cal. and attends St. John Bosco High School. He’s ranked as the No. 2 offensive guard in the 2022 class and the No. 6 prospect from California. Nationally, Greene ranks just outside the Top 50, coming in at No. 52.

From 247Sports recruiting analyst Greg Biggins:

Versatile lineman who could play just about anywhere along the offensive line. Plays right and left tackle and has the foot speed, lateral mobility and overall athleticism to stay at tackle in college. Also shows the strength, toughness and raw power at the point of attack to move inside and play guard as well. Plays with a mean streak and has the right amount of nastiness you love to see in an elite lineman.

Ohio State currently owns the nation’s top-ranked recruiting class for the 2022 cycle.
