BYU participated in an spur-of-the-moment team-bonding experience at their hotel in Indianapolis. And it may result in the squad never taking an elevator again.
Late Thursday night, Jess Wade, a member of BYU’s men’s basketball team, was trapped in an elevator, with the doors appearing to jam shut. It required all of his teammates to use their strength to pry open the doors and rescue him from the lift.
Wade shared a video of the experience on Thursday night. Fortunately, he was able to escape the elevator from Hell (Hellevator?) without any harm:

That should help this team bond together, right? And what better time than right before the start of the NCAA Tournament?
BYU is a No. 6 seed in this year’s field and will take on UCLA in the first round. The game is scheduled for 9:40 p.m. ET on Saturday and will air on CBS.
The biggest question before BYU’s showdown with UCLA? Will the Cougars take another elevator ride before heading to Hinkle Fieldhouse tomorrow?
