Wisconsin dominates North Carolina in first half of first round matchup

The Badgers shot 14-of-31 from the floor and made 6-of-14 shots from behind the 3-point line. They also converted on 6-of-8 attempts from the free throw line and only had 2 turnovers in the first 20 minutes.
That’s a solid recipe for success.

Wisconsin is trying to end an ugly trend for the B1G in the first two nights of the NCAA Tournament. Both Michigan State and Ohio State lost their opening game matchups at Mackey Arena. The Spartans blew a double-digit lead to UCLA in the play-in game and the No. 2 seed Buckeyes dropped an overtime decision to No. 15 seed Oral Roberts.
The winner of the Wisconsin-North Carolina game will play Baylor in the Round of 32.
