Illinois’ starting QB goes down, backup runs in 26-yard TD

Just after Purdue’s Brian Lankford-Johnson scored his second career touchdown, Illniois answered right back with its backup quarterback, Chayce Crouch, scoring a touchdown of his own.
Crouch came in and ran in a 26-yard touchdown after starting signal caller Wes Lunt went down with an injury earlier on the drive.

Crouch’s touchdown made it a 14-13 game, but since then, Purdue answered back with a touchdown and the Fighting Illini made a 34-yard field goal. Purdue currently leads, 21-16, with 0:29 remaining in the first half.
