What Juwan Howard said after Michigan’s win over LSU to advance to the Sweet 16

Michigan found itself in a tough game on Monday night in Indianapolis, trading punches with LSU for a trip to the Sweet 16. In the end, the Wolverines survived and advanced, posting an 86-78 victory over the Tigers to move on to next weekend.

Chaundee Brown and Eli Brooks each scored 21 points to lead Michigan and Franz Wagner pitched in with 15. Hunter Dickinson ended the game with a double-double, as the B1G Freshman of the Year had 12 points and 11 rebounds in the victory.

The Wolverines made 10-of-25 shots from the 3-point line and hit 28 baskets on 22 assists. Despite turning the ball over nine more times than LSU, Michigan’s 3-point shooting and ball movement was enough to get to the Sweet 16.

After the game, Juwan Howard talked about his team’s performance, the big play from Brown and Brooks and moving ahead to the second weekend of the NCAA Tournament. Here’s what the Michigan head coach had to say:
