Report: Despite B1G relaxing attendance policies, Michigan not opening spring practice to public

Though the B1G is relaxing its attendance rules and policies for its member institutions, Michigan does not appear to be one that will take advantage of a potential opportunity to welcome the general public into The Big House this spring.
On Wednesday, the B1G announced that it was easing its attendance restrictions and would allow its member schools to follow local health guidelines and recommendations to determine attendance policies for the remainder of the 2020-21 academic calendar year.
That includes potentially welcoming fans back for spring football games.
Angelique Chengelis reported on Wednesday that one of those schools will not be Michigan. No spring practices will be open to the public in Ann Arbor, and only family will be permitted to attend the final spring practice.

In the past, Michigan has opened its doors to spectators for the final spring game/spring practice. It does not appear that will be the case this year, at least for the time being.
With schools depending on local health guidelines and recommendations, the number of seats allowed for the general public might have been minimal either way.
