NFL analyst calls Micah Parsons a ‘darn good football player’

Former Penn State linebacker Micah Parsons has been considered a Top 10 draft selection among multiple analysts. Even though he didn’t suit up for the Nittany Lions during the 2020 season, his stock didn’t seem to fall too much.
A strong pro day performance earlier this week confirmed what many had already known: Parsons is ready for the next level. On a recent edition of the Move the Sticks podcast, NFL analyst Daniel Jeremiah had a rave review about the linebacker.
“Micah Parsons, as a football player, when we look at the scouting report, I mentioned his ability to play off the ball,” Jeremiah said. “He’s got tremendous speed, range, versatility. You talk about the quickness to be able to see it and absolutely go, especially when you get him on the perimeter. On the negative side, every now and then he can get a little bit lost inside with some of the zone-read stuff they faced there. But that is nit-picking, man. That is a darn good football player.
“I feel like I say this every year at the NFL Scouting Combine, but tip of the cap to the Penn State strength and conditioning program. Every year their players test and put on a show. And once again this year at the Penn State Pro Day.”
With only one month left until the 2021 NFL Draft, Parsons is firmly considered a first-round selection, and could be a Top 10 pick. With no combine this year, we’ll have to wait until early April to see how his pro day numbers compare to some other linebackers from around the country.
Regardless of where it stacks up, Parsons continues to impress analysts and scouts.
