Not even 24 hours after the college basketball season came to an end, Stadium’s Jeff Goodman released is way-too-early Top 25 for next season. A lot of B1G teams are near the top.

This postseason wasn’t the best representation for the B1G, as eight of the conference’s nine teams were eliminated in the first two rounds of the tournament. Michigan was the only team to make it to the second weekend of March Madness, reaching the Elite Eight before falling to UCLA.

Still, Goodman believes there is a lot of talent returning in the B1G next season. He has five teams from the league inside his way-too-early Top 25 rankings, with three squads listed inside the Top 5.

Here’s a look at where Goodman has the five B1G teams ranked:

  • No. 2: Ohio State Buckeyes
  • No. 4: Purdue Boilermakers
  • No. 5: Maryland Terrapins
  • No. 12: Michigan Wolverines
  • No. 18: Michigan State Spartans

Two teams that were staples in the Top 25 from last season that are not included are Illinois and Iowa.
