Best of the class: Ohio State’s Thayer Munford has goal to be best OT in 2022 NFL Draft

Ohio State offensive lineman Thayer Munford isn’t shying away from his big goals this season. He wants to be the absolute best at his craft and improve his stock ahead of the 2022 NFL Draft.
Speaking with reporters on Wednesday, Munford had no problem saying that he believes he will be the best offensive tackle in next year’s NFL Draft class. But he also understands that’s not going to come without work, saying he’s not satisfied just yet.
Greg Studrawa, Ohio State’s offensive line coach, believes Munford is capable of being one of the best offensive linemen next season.
“He’s got a chance to be the best tackle in the country,” Studrawa said, per Dan Hope of Eleven Warriors.
Munford, a 6-foot-6, 320-pound lineman from Cincinnati, is one of the most experienced offensive linemen in the country. He’s played in 46 games over the last four seasons and made 33 starts. The senior had the chance to declare for the 2021 NFL Draft but opted to return to Columbus for one more year.
Not only does he want to win another B1G title and compete for a national championship, he wants to be the first offensive tackle off the board in the 2022 NFL Draft.
