Report: Ohio State hoops assistant a ‘primary candidate’ for head coaching job at Cincinnati

Ohio State assistant coach Ryan Pedon is reportedly a candidate for the head coaching job at Cincinnati, according to Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports.
Cincinnati is looking to replace head coach John Brannen, who was fired last week following an investigation into the program. He was the leaders of the Bearcats for two seasons, posting a 32-21 record during that time.
Sources: UNC Greensboro's Wes Miller has emerged as a serious candidate for the head coaching vacancy at Cincinnati.

Pedon has been an assistant coach at Ohio State since 2017. He’s also had stops at Butler (2015-17), Illinois (2013-15), Toledo (2010-13) and Miami (OH) (2000-10). He played basketball at College of Wooster.
Rothstein also notes that UNC Greensboro head coach Wes Miller is a “primary candidate” for the job. Miller has been the head coach of the program since 2011, posting a 182-134 record and leading UNC Greensboro to five postseason appearances — two NCAA Tournament bids, two NIT trips and a CBI appearance.
