This is a huge win for new Penn State coach Micah Shrewsberry. In an era where a coaching change likely means an exodus to the transfer portal, getting a player like Lundy to stick around is a rare achievement.

Last season, Lundy averaged 10.1 points and 4.2 rebounds per contest. He showed tremendous growth from Year 1 and Year 2 and should be ready to take a big step forward in 2021.

Lundy flashed major scoring potential on multiple occasions last season. He scored 26 points against Ohio State in late January, getting to the free throw line 10 times. He also scored 31 points in a win over Maryland in Penn State’s regular season finale.

Shrewsberry and his staff will now be tasked with getting more consistent scoring outputs out of Lundy.

Next season, Penn State will look to make the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2011.
