A pair of B1G East programs are in the mix for a 4-star defensive end out of Florida.

This week, Clearwater native Mario Eugenio released his list of Top 10 schools, which included Indiana and Michigan out of the B1G. Those two programs are still in consideration, along with Missouri, Mississippi State, Arkansas, Oregon, Cincinnati, Miami (FL), Arizona State and Iowa State.

The 6-foot-3, 240-pound lineman narrowed his list down to 10 programs after receiving 30 offers. He his a heavily-recruited member of the 2022 class.

Over the last two seasons at Gaither High School, Eugenio has been credited with 123 stops, 38 tackles for loss and 30 sacks. He also has 8 pass break-ups, 6 forced fumbles, 4 interceptions and 3 fumble recoveries.

Per 247Sports, Eugenio ranks as one of the Top 50 prospects from Florida, coming in at No. 36 overall. He’s also ranked as the No. 18 weak-side defensive end in the class and No. 307 overall, earning the 4-star status.

Michigan currently owns the No. 20 recruiting class nationally and No. 4 in the B1G. The Wolverines have six hard commitments, three of which have a 4- or 5-star rating.

Indiana has just one verbal pledge right now, ranking last in the B1G and 73rd nationally.
