Indiana is seeing another player enter the NCAA transfer portal.
On Wednesday, Rivals.com reported that wide receiver/tight end Gary Cooper has entered his name into the NCAA transfer portal. He was a member of the Hoosiers’ 2019 recruiting class and spent two seasons with the program before deciding to explore opportunities elsewhere.
In 2019, Cooper started his career at Indiana as a tight end. He redshirted that season but still played in four games during an 8-5 year. He totaled 2 catches for 15 yards.

Last season, Cooper switched from tight end to wide receiver. He played in six games for the Hoosiers but did not record any statistics. The 6-foot-2, 215-pound native of Miami, Florida will still have all four years of eligibility remaining at his next destination.
Cooper was a 3-star recruit out of high school, ranking as the No. 56 tight end in the 2019 class. He held 15 offers and picked Indiana over big-time programs like Florida, Michigan, Oklahoma, Ole Miss, Utah and others.
