The tally is now up to eight.

On Monday, six Michigan State football players entered their name into the NCAA transfer portal. The latest is redshirt freshman defensive end Jasiyah Robinson, a member of the 2020 recruiting class. He did not hit the field for the Spartans during his first season with the program.

Robinson released a statement announcing his decision on Monday. He posted the note on Twitter.

Robinson is a native of Graveport, Ohio and was a 3-star recruit as a high school prospect. He picked Michigan State over offers from Ball State and Youngstown State.

Since Michigan State ended spring practice on Saturday, eight players have decided to explore their options outside of East Lansing. Six of those announcements came on Monday. Here’s the list:

  • OL Justin Stevens
  • TE Tommy Guajardo
  • OL Damon Kaylor
  • K Jack Olsen
  • DE DeAri Todd
  • LS Bryce Eimer
  • DT Chris Mayfield
  • DE Jasiyah Robinson

Michigan State ended the 2020 season with a 2-5 record.
