Four assistant football coaches at Ohio State will be receiving salary increases for 2021. Bucknuts reported the news after receiving salary information on Wednesday.
Offensive coordinator and tight ends coach Kevin Wilson, linebackers coach Al Washington, wide receivers coach Brian Hartline and secondary coach Matt Barnes have all received the pay bump entering the 2021 season. Here is a breakdown of the pay increases:
- Kevin Wilson — $200,000
- Matt Barnes — $150,000
- Al Washington — $85,000
- Brian Hartline — $50,000
Here’s a breakdown of what the new annual compensation will look like for those four Ohio State staffers now:
- Kevin Wilson — $1.4 million
- Al Washington — $600,000
- Matt Barnes — $600,000
- Brian Hartline — $600,000
Ohio State ended the 2020 season with a 7-1 record, winning a fourth straight B1G title and earning a spot in the College Football Playoff. The Buckeyes defeated Clemson in the Sugar Bowl before falling to Alabama in the National Championship Game.
