11 B1G players named to Sporting News All-America teams

Sporting News has revealed its 2019 college football All-America teams, and 11 B1G players have been included on the two teams.

Four Ohio State players were included on the All-America teams, including three first-teamers. Wisconsin had three selections and Iowa, Minnesota, Penn State and Purdue all had one selection on the two teams.

Seven of the 11 B1G players mentioned received first-team honors. The remaining four were handed second-team recognition. Below are the B1G players to be named to Sporting News’ All-America teams. You can view the complete list here.

First Team

  • RB: Jonathan Taylor, Wisconsin
  • OG: Wyatt Davis, Ohio State
  • C: Tyler Biadasz, Wisconsin
  • DE: Chase Young, Ohio State
  • CB: Jeff Okudah, Ohio State
  • S: Antoine Winfield Jr., Minnesota
  • K: Keith Duncan, Iowa

Second Team

  • RB: J.K. Dobbins, Ohio State
  • TE: Brycen Hopkins, Purdue
  • LB: Micah Parsons, Penn State
  • LB: Zack Baun, Wisconsin
