Everything has an end. Just ask Indiana and Nebraska fans.
The Huskers and Hoosiers beat Illinois and North Dakota in Week 1, snapping 2 of some of the longest losing streaks in the country. In fact, 6 teams with more than 5 straight losses turned a new leaf last weekend.
These schools entered last weekend w/the nation’s longest losing streaks, but each won ending these streaks:
FIU 11
Duke 8
Indiana 8
Nebraska 7
Stanford 7
Akron 6— Brett McMurphy (@Brett_McMurphy) September 5, 2022
The above teams combined to beat St Francis, Bryant, Illinois, North Dakota, Colgate, and Temple, respectively. The new longest losing streak in the country belongs to Temple.
Nebraska hosts Georgia Southern next week, while the Hoosiers host Idaho. All things considered, there’s a strong chance both schools go from long losing streak to winners of 2 straight.
Hey, they’ve got to have something to hold onto, right?
