2 B1G safeties earn top grades from Pro Football Focus in Week 1
Nebraska’s Deontai Williams and Penn State’s Jaquan Brisker were the top-graded safeties in the country during Week 1, according to Pro Football Focus.
The pair of Big Ten stars beat out Notre Dame’s Kyle Hamilton for the top two honors.

Williams picked off two passes in Nebraska’s 52-7 win over Fordham on Saturday. He also made four total tackles.
Williams’ two interceptions has him tied for the Big Ten lead so far this season alongside Iowa defensive back Riley Moss.
Brisker made one of the most important interceptions of the weekend as he picked off Wisconsin quarterback Graham Mertz in the final minutes of Penn State’s upset win over the Badgers on Saturday.
Brisker finished the game with four tackles and a pass deflection in addition to his INT.
Nebraska hosts Buffalo in Week 2 as the Huskers look to improve to 2-1. Penn State will face Ball State this weekend in Happy Valley.
