Everyone is aware of Nebraska’s recent failings in finishing out football games. The Huskers have lost seven straight games, tied for fourth most in the nation. However, there is one program in the B1G that has lost even more as of late.
Indiana, which went 0-9 in the B1G last season, has lost 8 games in a row, tied for third place in the country. The Hoosiers’ last win was Sept. 25, 2021 against Western Kentucky.
Longest current losing streaks:
FIU 11
Duke 8
Indiana 8
Nebraska, Stanford, Temple 7
Akron, Colorado State, Georgia Tech, UMass 6
Auburn, South Florida, ULM, UConn 5
Buffalo, Charlotte, New Mexico, South Alabama, USC, Virginia, Washington 4— Brett McMurphy (@Brett_McMurphy) August 29, 2022
Both squads have a chance to extinguish that streak in Week 1. Northwestern hosts North Dakota while the Hoosiers battle the Illinois Fighting Illini in Bloomington.
