It has not been an easy road for some power five teams as some of the top former elite programs have suffered a terrible track record versus fellow Power 5 schools.

According to Brett McMurphy, nine teams have won only two games or worse of their last 10 matchups versus Power 5 opponents.

Two of those teams are from the B1G in Nebraska (2-8) and Indiana (2-8). Nebraska (3-7) dominated Northwestern at home 56-7 on Oct. 2. Last season, Nebraska defeated Rutgers on the road 28-21 as they finished the 2020 season with an overall record of 3-5.

Indiana (2-7) has no victories over a Power 5 program this season. The last two victories for the Hoosiers over Power 5 teams go back to last season’s 27-11 home win over Maryland on Nov. 28, and a 14-6 win at No. 16 Wisconsin on Dec. 5.

Nebraska has 2 games left while Indiana has 3 to play. Can either buck the ugly trend?
