The conference finals in the NBA are set to begin Tuesday evening. But prior to tip-off, the order for the 2022 NBA Draft was set with the draft lottery.

When it was all said and done, the Orlando Magic came out of the pile with the first pick in the draft. ESPN’s Jonathan Givony also projects the Magic to select Auburn forward Jabari Smith No. 1 overall.

The Oklahoma City Thunder also came out very well from the proceedings. Oklahoma City wound up with the No. 2 and No. 12 picks in the draft and is projected to select Gonzaga big man Chet Holmgren with the second pick of the draft.

The Houston Rockets, Sacramento Kings and Detroit Pistons filled out picks 3-5. The Pistons were projected to select Iowa forward Keegan Murray with the No. 5 pick of the draft.

Here is how the lottery determined the first 14 picks of the draft:

It will be interesting to see how many B1G players are able to come off the board as lottery picks in the draft. Murray, Wisconsin’s Johnny Davis and Purdue’s Jaden Ivey have all been projected as lottery picks in various mock drafts.
