A prospect from the Class of 2023 and a top-100 recruit in the 247Sports Composite has narrowed his list of potential schools down to six. The Big Ten takes up 3 of those 6 spots.
Luke Montogmery, a defensive line prospect from Ohio, revealed Thursday that his list has been whittled to Ohio State, Michigan, Penn State, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, and Clemson. The 4-star man tweeted the news.

Montgomery has offers from every Power conference. Alabama, Oregon, Clemson, Florida State, the list goes on and on; he’ll have his pick of the bunch. But if it’s not a modern power, it looks like the 6-foot-5 lineman will stay close to home.
He’s rated as the 3rd-best prospect from the state of Ohio, the 6th-best tackle in his class, and the 59th overall prospect. Montgomery plays his high school ball for Findlay in Ohio, about 20 miles south of Ohio State’s campus. He got offers from Penn State, Indiana, Michigan State, and Michigan in late 2020, though, and didn’t pick up an Ohio State offer until February 2021. But in the springtime, his recruitment exploded, with LSU, Florida, and Georgia all offering within the span of a month.
Also a basketball player at Findlay, Montgomery plays both ways for Findlay. You can see his highlight tape below, via Hudl:
