The 2023 NFL Draft is right around the corner with first-round festivities set to begin Thursday night.

Ahead of all the action, NFL reporter and analysts Albert Breer has a pair of B1G prospects he expects to be near-locks to become top-10 picks when the draft begins. Both are non-quarterbacks but performed well on the field and during the pre-draft testing process.

Breer points to Illinois cornerback Devon Witherspoon and Ohio State offensive tackle Paris Johnson Jr. as guys he expects to be “pretty locked in” as players selected in the first 10 picks. He also believes either player could go as high as the No. 3 overall pick.

The Arizona Cardinals are the team currently holding the 3rd pick in the draft and are not expected to be in the mix to select a quarterback. As always, the Cardinals could trade out of the pick if the right offer comes along.

We’ll see how things shake out when the draft begins, but it looks like both Witherspoon and Johnson have a strong shot at becoming the first players selected at their position.
