The 2023 NFL Draft begins on Thursday, April 27, in Kansas City. That evening, Round 1 will take place.

When commissioner Roger Goodell steps to the podium, a Big Ten player could be the first guy to be drafted.

This week, NFL.com analyst Chad Reuter updated his Round 1 projections, and he included 9 B1G stars in the first 31 picks:

  • No. 1 — CJ Stroud, QB, Ohio State — Carolina Panthers
  • No. 8 — Lukas Van Ness, Edge, Iowa — Atlanta Falcons
  • No. 11 — Peter Skoronski, OL, Northwestern — Tennessee Titans
  • No. 13 — Paris Johnson Jr., OL, Iowa State — Green Bay Packers
  • No. 14 — Joey Porter Jr., CB, Penn State — New England Patriots
  • No. 18 — Devon Witherspoon, CB, Illinois — Detroit Lions
  • No. 21 — Jaxon Smith-Njigba, WR, Ohio State — Los Angeles Chargers
  • No. 23 — Adetomiwa Adebawore, DL, Northwestern — Philadelphia Eagles
  • No. 24 — Deonte Banks, CB, Maryland — Jacksonville Jaguars
