The 2023 NIT Bracket is set with those teams just missing out on the NCAA Tournament field getting ready to compete for a championship.

The 4 No. 1 seeds for the NIT Bracket are Rutgers, Oklahoma State, Oregon and Clemson as the first 4 teams left out of the NCAA Tournament. The first-round matchups in the NIT will be played March 14-15.

Michigan and Wisconsin also landed in the NIT. Here are the first-round matchups for B1G teams and the full bracket:

  • 1-seed Rutgers vs. Hofstra (March 14, 7 pm ET, ESPNU)
  • 3-seed Michigan vs. Toledo (March 14, 7 pm ET, ESPN2)
  • 2-Seed Wisconsin vs. Bradley (March 14, 9:30 pm ET, ESPN)

Rutgers landing in the NIT was one of the big surprises of Selection Sunday. Many expected the Scarlet Knights to be in the NCAA Tournament, especially after giving Purdue a stiff test in the B1G Tournament over the weekend.

This season, the NIT Semifinals and Championship will be held in Las Vegas’ Orleans Arena on March 28 and March 30. The NIT finals were previously held in Madison Square Garden.
