2024 NCAA Baseball Tournament action is about to get rolling this week, and Monday provided the full bracket and seedings for the regional round of action!

The SEC continues to dominate the baseball picture with the top 3 overall seeds in the tournament and 5 of the top 8 national seeds who will receive home-field advantage through the Super Regional round if they advance. Tennessee is the No. 1 seed in the country for the 2nd time in program history (2022 was the other instance).

Kentucky, Texas A&M, Arkansas and Georgia are the other SEC programs with a top-8 seed. The ACC claimed the other 3 seeds in the top 8 with Clemson, UNC and Florida State rounding out that portion.

Overall, the SEC set a record with 11 regional teams, including a record for 5 teams within the top 8 national seeds. The ACC tied the SEC’s mark of 5 regional host sites and sent 8 teams to the final field.

Out of the Big Ten, a trio of teams made it with Nebraska, Illinois and Indiana in the final field. Oregon, on its way to the B1G this fall, also made the field for the Ducks’ final season in the Pac-12.

As for the schedule, the regional round will be double elimination with games played from Friday, May 31 through Monday, June 3 if needed. Winners of the regionals will advance to the Super Regional round and a best of 3 series to be played from Friday, June 7 until Monday, June 10 if needed.
