Although one would think playing the Badgers is stiffer competition. The Badgers had a much easier time with Illinois State defeating them, 38-0.
This game should be a huge test for both squads. The Badgers vs the Cougars kick off at 3:30 ET.
The biggest game of the day in the conference may be when out-of-conference rivals Iowa meets Iowa State. The Hawkeyes struggled on offense big time last Saturday against South Dakota State only managing 7 points, but that was enough for the victory.
The Cyclones had no such problem with Southeast Missouri State, winning 42-10. Last year the Hawkeyes defeated the Cyclones 27-17 but this is a different year and a different Iowa team. Although their defense seems to be in good shape, clearly, their offense needs some work.
Hawkeye fans can only hope that their offense gets well against their rivals, but like in most rivalry games, it won’t be an easy task for either team. Iowa vs Iowa State kicks off at 4 pm ET.
