247 Sports analyst Brad Crawford analyzed the 10 most important college football games in September and two B1G games made the list.

The list included the games that stood out the most in college football for the first month of the season. In the early part of the season, each conference plays important games against nonconference opponents.

Ohio State was included in the 2 B1G games on the list for September. The Buckeyes will have a difficult schedule to open the season and it showed on the list. The two games for Ohio State that made the list were (Via 247Sports):

  • No. 5- Wisconsin at Ohio State on Sept. 24
  • No. 1- Notre Dame at Ohio State on Sept. 3

Both games will be played in Columbus and will have an impact on the rest of the season for Ohio State, Notre Dame, and Wisconsin. The game between Ohio State and Notre Dame will be a prime time game to begin the season for the two teams. This will be the first of three nonconference games to start the season for Ohio State.

The time of the Wisconsin-Ohio State will be determined closer to the date of the game. The B1G will have two important games in the first four weeks of the season. As the season continues, more B1G games could be added to lists for the most important games in each month.
